Col. 3:1-2 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God's right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth.

How much time to you spend thinking about the things of heaven? Do you spend as much time dwelling on soul matters as you do on earthly matters? Think about it. What occupies most of your mind: Work? Sports? TV? Computer? Family? Do you give the Lord his fair share of your attention? We cannot grow spiritually when we keep the Lord low on the totem pole of our priorities. The more you are focused on the matters of the soul, the healthier your soul will be. In fact, the less you are focused on the Lord, the more you are drawn to the world and away from God.

Everything that grabs your attention on earth will soon be gone. The only things that are going to last are the things of God. The time we spend here on earth is our preparation for eternity. Don't waste your time, invest it wisely on heavenly things.
