Rom. 14:10 So why do you condemn another Christian? Why do you look down on another Christian? Remember, each of us will stand personally before the judgment seat of God. Why do we do it? We know we shouldn't. God tells us not to. Yet, we are so quick to judge one another.

We tend to look down on and break fellowship with those who think or act differently than we do. We put ourselves in a better place than those who don't agree with us. It is a plague that haunts the church. Churches split off or even die off over issues that are really non-issues. Pastors are sent packing by those who may not always see eye-to-eye with them. Even personality differences are enough to separate us. For the most part the church has become many different bodies unto themselves instead of one body. Instead of living graciously with each other and striving to help one another grow in Christ, we distance ourselves from each other. I wonder what the Lord thinks of us. Reread today's verse. Remember each of us will stand before God some day for judgment. We have no right to sit in judgment on one another in light of the fact that we too will be judged. Granted there are times in which a person must be brought into account for the sake of the body, but those times ought to be seldom and done with a sense of fear and trembling. Let us heed Paul's instructions and cut it out. As much as it is possible for us to do, let us be very slow to judge and quick to embrace.
