1Change Your Focus!

Hear It!

See It!

Live It!

We're all concerned about our economy, we're concerned about our finances, we're concerned about corruption, we're concerned about health insurance...we're deeply concerned and certainly not without good cause.

We've talked about turning back to God and how that can make a huge impact in our lives.  We've talked about sin, and what "walking in the light" really means.  "Now what do I do?" always seems to be the next question in this topic of discussion.

With all the issues we have to juggle in the air in order to keep our lives running, what do we do now?  How can we fight the battle with the bank, the battle in the unemployment line, the battle with the teenager and the battle with the spouse, and not absolutely lose our minds?

By now, you have made the decision to walk in God's grace right?  You believe you are forgiven and that you are "back in the club," so to speak.  Well, now you change your focus.  Focus as intensely as you possibly can on that gift of grace and not on the struggles you face.  Look closely at His words and consider carefully how you listen.  Focus, focus, focus on the truth.

Pro 4:23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

It is the heart (inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding) of mankind that has created this mess.  (Is greed not the cause for our economic failure?  Is it not the cause for a failing health care system?)  And it is the heart of mankind that we must change.  The inner man has to experience rebirth before the outer man can reach its fullest potential, which is the very image of Jesus Christ.

Guard your heart.  Take your eyes off the mess, off the bad habits, off the mistakes and off of self improvement.  Turn your eyes to the grace.  Turn you eyes upon Jesus.  Salvation has been bought and paid for for you and that salvation is, according to the Strong's definition: rescue or safety (physically or morally): - deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.

This new birth, this new inner man, the new creation being, the brand new you can then, help change the world...one human heart at a time.
